The Basic S slatted base has a comfort zone for the shoulders and the option to set your own preference for the hardness in the lumbar zone. By moving the sliders, the mattress is supported more or less strongly in the lumbar zone. For example, nice for side sleepers to keep it a bit more flexible and for stomach and back sleepers a bit tighter.
