Fleur's Fool
The Bottle Vase Project is inspired by a collection of plastic waste from the Maas river in Rotterdam. After reading about the plastic soup, Foekje Fleur started looking more closely at the river that flows through her hometown and found plastic waste that had been accumulating there since the 1960s.
By making sustainable, colorful porcelain bottle vases, copies of the material she finds, Foekje Fleur tries to spread awareness of this growing problem. The colorful porcelain bottle vases are available in different shapes and colors, which makes for a beautiful rainbow!
Odds & Ends textiles by Foekje Fleur are a colourful home textile collection made from leftovers from the cotton industry. When factories leave behind excess yarns after dyeing, these leftovers are used to create unique designs. Produced in small quantities in Portugal, Foekje Fleur uses these unexpected colour combinations, evolving the original design during production as the leftovers run out and are replaced with similar colours.
Foekje Fleur's vases and textiles are only available in stores.
